Yesterday's footage found that Fox News anchor Brett Baier pumped mustard directly into a plastic water bottle, prompting Stephen Colbert to ask the question, "Why?"

The Late Show tweeted a photo of Brett Baier caught in the act with "#MustardGate" in order to bring attention to this national scandal.

Baier responded on Twitter, though his reply can be interpreted as a joke. Was he dodging the question and simply pretending that he drinks mustard, or does he really drink the condiment?

While accusations of Melania Trump's plagiarism remain the most notable scandal to arise from this week's RNC, this is a close second.

Update, July 20, 9:00 p.m. ET:Colbert set up a Facebook Live video monitoring the condiment station at the Republican National Convention.
