LONDON -- People in 160 cities,erotice movie scence in 60 countries around the world are making history this weekend as they take to the streets in one of the largest co-ordinated acts of protest in recent years: the Women's March.

Ahead of the marches women are tweeting photos of their shoes and sharing their reasons for standing in solidarity with those marching on Washington D.C.

People are tweeting using the #MarchingShoes hashtag to show the shoes they'll be donning as they attend marches across the world.

Some women will be attending the marches with their children.
