The first meeting of the year for the Parkinson’s Support Group in Little Tokyo will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Social Hall at Union Church of L.A., 401 E. Third St., Los Angeles.
Parking is available next to the church.
The first guest of the year is Melody Ouyoung, MS, CCC-SLP, a speech pathologist for over 40 years, who has established dysphogia and voice programs. She is the manager of the Speech Pathology Department at USC Keck University Hospital and started the Adult Swallowing and Voice Disorders Clinic. She has successfully treated voice disorder, prevented aspiration pneumonia and improved the quality of life through eating and speaking correctly.
