【cali sikis】Pence says Trump was kidding, Gennifer Flowers will not be at the debate

Donald Trump is cali sikisrunning to be America's president, but he also appeared to be Twitter's No. 1 troll this weekend.

On Saturday, Trump threatened to invite Bill Clinton's former mistress, Gennifer Flowers, to the presidential debate on Monday. Flowers tweeted her acceptance, but on Fox News Sunday, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, the Republican nominee for vice president, explained that Flowers wouldn't be attending. Trump, Pence said, wasn't serious at all, but simply trying to "mock" Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Flowers had an extramarital affair with Bill Clinton in the late 1980s. Though she accepted Trump's invite on Twitter, it was unclear at the time whether the campaign had any plans to follow through.

The tweet followed news that the Hillary Clinton campaign had invited Mark Cuban, billionaire and prominent Trump critic/troll, to the debate. Pence said it was in response to her campaign's efforts to "distract voters."

On Friday, Cuban announced on Twitter that he had a "front row seat" to watch Trump get "humbled" by Hillary Clinton during their first debate. A Hillary Clinton a aide told CNN the campaign has indeed invited Cuban to the debate because "he has proven to be singularly effective in making the case against Trump and for Clinton."

Later, The Commission for Presidential Debates toldCNN that they would "frown upon" any attempt to "impact the debate" with front row tickets, and are currently working to solve the issue.

Earlier this week, the Trump campaign released an ad that featured the infamous Flowers affair, which Bill Clinton initially denied.

The Clinton campaign responded to Trump's apparent invite with familiar exasperation:

"The question should really be: Why was Clinton and her campaign inviting some celebrity basketball team owner to the debate to sit on the front row — someone who has mocked and ridiculed my running mate," Pence said on Fox News Sunday.
