And if you weren't excited, you will be now: based on this pic, the film is going to reach new levels of badassery.

The photo features some familiar faces from the film's star-studded cast, including Hart, The Rock, Doctor Who's Karen Gillan, and Jack Black.

Gillan will play the starring role of Ruby Roundhouse, and the Scottish-born actress is said to have beat out several A-listers to land the breakout gig.

The Rock announced Gillan's casting in an Instagram post earlier this month:

Based on this stellar cast and Hart's pic from the first day of filming, we don't think he's exaggerating with the claim: "This movie is going to be dope as hell".

You can expect the film to hit the big screen in July 2017.
