Kenichi Ebina, winner of Season 8 of the popular television show “America’s Got Talent,” will perform in a major production show for the first time ever since appearing on television, this weekend, April 12- 13 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula.

Two performances of “Kenichi Ebina Dance-ish Entertainment” will take place in the Pechanga The-ater, with the expressive, flexible dancer exhibiting his unique style that combines different illusion ef-fects of sound, light and visuals. He frequently interacts with characters on a huge video screen behind him, who have all been created and played by himself.

Ebina started out dancing freestyle hip-hop and expanding to popping, locking, mime, house, jazz, contem-porary and ethnic dance. He began his dance career when he formed a dance group, “BiTriP,” with other Japanese dancers, in 2001. BiTriP won first place and became the grand champion of “Amateur Night.”

In 2007, Ebina won seven awards in the dance competition of “Show-time at the Apollo” and became the first two-time grand champion in Apollo Theater history.

It was not until seven years later that Kenichi was able to gain a nation-al fan base by trying out for “Amer-ica’s Got Talent.” After performing two dance routines during the finals, he was announced the winner of the eighth season last Sept. 18.

As the winner of “America’s Got Talent,” Ebina has been very active. He has performed at events and on TV shows internationally, taught dance in the U.S., China, Korea, Japan and elsewhere, and directed and cho-reographed routines for theater com-panies. Currently, Ebina is appearing on the U.S. television show “Angelina Ballerina,” on PBS Kids Sprout, as a featured dance performer.

Tickets are $30, $45, $60 and $80 and may be purchased in person at the Pechanga box office between noon and 8 p.m., by calling (877) 711-2946 or online at www.Pechanga.com.
