MONTEBELLO —?The 37thannual Sozenji Community Obon Festival will be held on Sunday, July 14, from 1 to 7:30 p.m. at Sozenji Buddhist Temple, 3020 W. Beverly Blvd., Montebello. The schedule is as follows:
2 p.m.: Obon, Hatsubon and Manto-E service
3 p.m.: Ken Aiso violin concert
4 p.m.: Preschool children’s chorus
5 p.m.: Matsutoyo Kai/Minyo Station
6 p.m. Bon Odori
6:30 p.m.: Five groups from Taiko Center of Los Angeles
7:30 p.m.: Raffle drawing

Sozenji is a Soto Zen Buddhist Temple established by Rev. Shuyu Hideo Kurai and members in December 1971. The current abbot is Rev. Shuichi Thomas Kurai.
