SANTA MONICA — The hard blood sex video hdBinge — Free Festival of Theatre (BFF), which is being held at the Santa Monica Playhouse, 1211 4^thSt. in Santa Monica, will include the following:

? Friday, Oct. 20, at 9:30 p.m. on the Main Stage: “Twilight and Show,” a one-act taiko drum drama based on a family’s and drum school’s navigation of the social and cultural turbulence following the end of World War II in Japan. Written and directed by Warren Sata.

? Saturday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at The Artists’ Entrance: “Noir Evening,” a reading of short stories from noir and mystery writer Naomi Hirahara. Professional actors bring two of her stories to life:

“Number 19” — A lonely young waitress gets obsessed with an immigrant masseuse after she visits a Koreatown spa for the first time. She cannot wait until she sees the masseuse next and her obsession leads her down a dark path of murder.

“Jigoku” —?A Japanese serial killer finds himself in hell, which surprisingly looks a lot like a government bureaucratic office. There, he worries about whether he’ll be reunited with his partner in crime, his son, while details of his string of deviant behavior and execution surface.

Hirahara, who is unable to attend, is the Edgar Award-winning author of the Mas Arai and Officer Ellie Rush mystery series.
