Season 4 Reloaded is the next major update coming to Warzone, bringing new weapons, modes, and the return of Resurgence Ranked Play.

The Warzone Season 4 update was yet another huge content drop for CoD’s popular battle royale, introducing new guns like the FFAR 1 and a new hot spot to land at. It also shook up the meta with plenty of weapon buffs and nerfs.

But that’s only the beginning, as the mid-season patch has even more in store. So, here’s everything we know about the Season 4 Reloaded update, including when it’s due to arrive.

When does Warzone Season 4 Reloaded start?

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded will be arriving on July 2 at 9AM PT/12PM EST on all platforms.

Each season tends to last for eight weeks, so the mid-season update drops exactly halfway through. However, Season 5 is longer than normal, lasting ten weeks, so July 2 will be the new mid-point.

New weapons

Two new weapons are set to be released as part of the Reloaded update. The first is the Olympia, a double-barrel Shotgun last seen in Black Ops 3, where it was known for dealing huge damage over short distances.

The other is the Pickaxe, a new melee weapon that can kill enemies in a single hit. However, it has considerably less range than some of the other options in its category.

Both will be available through in-game events or from the Armory if you don’t unlock them right away, and they can be unlocked via Black Ops 6’s Beavis & Butt-Head event pass if you’re looking to get them a bit faster.

On top of that, there are some new attachments that’ll be coming to base BO6 and Warzone:

Ranked Play Resurgence returns

After being removed when Black Ops 6 integrated, Ranked Play Resurgence on Rebirth Island is finally returning with Season 4 Reloaded. It will feature the exact same ruleset as it did during the MW3 era, only you’ll have to start again from scratch.

The mode will run alongside Verdansk Ranked and feature a separate ranking system, so you can progress them both individually. However, the only drawback is that only Trios will be available, at least to begin with.

Resurgence Casual

Following its success on Verdansk, the devs are doubling down with Resurgence Casual. This more laid-back experience follows the same format as regular Resurgence, only the lobby is made up of 44 players, some of whom are bots.

This is ideal if you’re “warming up, teaching a new player about the game, or you’re wanting a Resurgence match that isn’t quite as extreme as normal.”

Havoc Royale

Havoc Royale gives players their loadout from the jump and drops them into a relatively small area of Verdansk. It’s 44 players in a mode that’s meant to last 15 minutes max. If you’re someone who likes hot dropping, this is the game mode for you.

Additionally, the following items have been added to buy stations exclusively in this mode.

• Squad Buyback
• Armor Plate
• Gasmask
• Door Barricade
• Munitions Box
• Redeploy Drone
• Hand Cannon
• UAV

As if that wasn’t enough chaos, new modifiers will be added to the map as the zone gets smaller and smaller. Two of these modifiers only trigger on the last circle, while the rest have a chance of happening any time the circle closes. Only one modifier can be active at once.

Activision

Here’s a full list of modifiers and an explanation as to what they do:

• Charge Jump:?Perform super-human leaps and reach previously unimaginable distances. Holding your button before a Charge Jump provides higher leaping and your velocity dictates how horizontal your jump will be.
• Cranked:?Outlines of enemy players periodically flash red, Operators have a HUD indicating where foes are nearby, as well as Tracker footsteps, and quicker weapon switching, armor plate insertions, and reloads. There’s also a timer on the screen. When it reaches zero, the Operator explodes. Open a cache to increase your time. Defeat an enemy to fully refresh the timer.
• Crouch Potato:?When crouched, Operators transform into a sack of potatoes. Movement and jumping are still possible, and health as well as armor slowly regenerates while crouched, which only stops if the Operator is struck by enemy fire.
• Eye See You:?All Operators always have an Advanced UAV active for them, as well as googly eyes.
• Melon Heads:?Operators appear with watermelon heads, with an impressive watermelon-based explosion if hit. Damage to the body is reduced. Damage to heads is multiplied.
• Make it Rain:?More ammo and cash become available, to such an extent that it isn’t likely you’ll need to reload, as bullets are removed from your reserves rather than your chamber or magazine. Fire Sale also activates.
• Unregulated Airspace:?The airspace is no longer overcrowded, allowing for more Killstreaks to be used at the same time. Expect more of them to be available as ground loot.
• Showdown (Finale Modifier):?All Operators are given an identical Loadout. Nearby weapons are removed.
• Rising Gas (Finale Modifier):?Operators are warned that gas will be rising vertically throughout the combat zone, forcing you to ascend to higher ground. Fortunately, you’re more likely to obtain Gas Masks and Personal Redeploy Drones (Havoc Royale Mode only) during this modifier’s lifespan.

Warzone Casual Solos

Warzone solos are back! The devs explained that standard Solos was temporarily removed to test the new mode with a wider player base, and that they’ve now bought back bot-free solos. But they’re keeping the bot version of the mode around as well and testing player retention with both to see which version of Solos they should keep around.

According to Activision, putting bots in Solo matches had a number of benefits:

• Three times more players jumped into Casual Solos compared to standard Solos
• Queue times, ping stability, and other matchmaking metrics saw notable improvements
• The mode was popular with both existing and returning players

However, in order to make sure the change is truly positive, they’re putting both modes in the game at once and letting players choose for themselves which they prefer.

Beavis and Butt-Head crossover

Iconic 90s cartoon characters, Beavis and Butt-Head, arrive in the Season 4 Reloaded update. From the promo images, we can see the titular characters in tactical gear, with Coach Buzzcut and Todd Ianuzzi in the background.

These characters should all hit the store as Operators with, or shortly after, the update.

New Field Upgrade, Killstreaks, Perk & more

Activision

After first being released in Clash mode, a number of features are also making their way over to BR and Casual. One of the most divisive is the Door Barricade, which can be used on entrances to buildings to prevent enemy teams from entering them right away.

Joining it is the Hand Cannon, a powerful Killstreak taken from multiplayer that can absolutely melt through armor and health with just a few shots. Both of these can be earned from the Care Package, another new Killstreak that drops a host of rare loot.

If you’re someone who likes to use Contracts to their advantage, Search and Destroywill be right up your alley. This mini challenge tasks teams with planting a bomb on a Buy Station and detonating it before it can be defused, earning free items from the station once it explodes.

There’s also the new Loot Master Perk coming exclusively to Plunder and Resurgence. It can only be found as ground loot and greatly increases the number of items found inside each chest, making the early game much easier.
