Zenshuji Soto Mission will present its 66thannual Obon Carnival on Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, from 12 to 7 p.m.
Obon service will be held at 1:30 p.m. both days.
Cultural activities — Bon Odori and tea ceremony.
Entertainment — Taiko drumming, folk dance and music, Shorinji Kempo.
Food — Barbecue chicken and beef, tamales, chirashi sushi, Okinawa dango, wonton, somen, corn, ohagi, saved ice, umeboshi.
The carnival will also include a white elephant sale, crafts and a raffle.

6:15 p.m.: Zen aerobics demonstration
6:30 p.m.: Bon Odori led by Terminal Islanders
Sunday, July 21
1:30 p.m.: Obon service
4 p.m.: Martial arts by Shorinji Kempo
4:30 p.m.: Japanese classical dance by Bando Hidesomi and students
5 p.m.: Taiko by Zenshuji Zendeko
5:30 p.m.: Koto music by L.A. Koto Ensemble, Yuki Yasuda and students
6 p.m.: Raffle drawing
6:45 p.m.: Bon Odori led by Bando Hidesomi and students
Tea ceremony demonstrations 12:30-4 p.m. both days
