Additionally, in a Yahoo interview released on Monday, Lovato also continued her comments on body image expectations—and seemed to be speaking about the celebrity squad of friends that often surrounds Taylor Swift.

"This will probably get me in trouble, but I don't see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body," she said. "It's kind of this false image of what people should look like."

Lovato tweeted in response to backlash from the comments on Tuesday morning, saying that while she didn't remember making the comments, words can be taken out of context and misunderstood.

"I don't understand why people care so much about what I say in interviews?" she tweeted. "Do y'all watch the news? Don't y'all got shit to worry about?"
